Ensure the restoration of damaged or worn metal components through welding. Manufacture new metal parts by interpreting detailed technical drawings, ensuring compliance with required safety and quality standards. Prepare surfaces to be welded. Select the most suitable welding method and tools based on materials, part dimensions, and the purpose of the work. Maintain work tools and equipment in optimal condition. Propose potential improvements or modifications to enhance the functionality, strength, and safety of the finished product. Check welds for defects or imperfections. Verify, using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments, that the welding meets the parameters specified in the project, and perform quality checks.
