Job Overview

The Critical Care Department operates seven days a week and is run full‑time by our Criticalists. We are seeking a residency-trained or board‑certified Criticalist to join the team as a permanent, full‑time veterinarian specialist.

Responsibilities

• Advance the Critical Care department.
• Primary management of critical inpatients and ER triages.
• Support and mentor the Emergency department.
• Teach and mentor interns and support staff.

Qualifications

• Valid DVM degree or equivalent that permits practice in Canada.
• Board‑certified (AVCECC or ECVECC) or residency trained (eligible to sit for board examination) in Critical Care.
• License in Alberta or eligibility to be licensed with the ABVMA.
• Strong leadership skills and a positive team‑player attitude.
