Job Overview
Toromont is seeking a Legal Counsel who will be an active contributor to Toromont’s Legal Team, providing strategic legal, regulatory and compliance advice across public company, corporate/commercial, M&A and governance matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide corporate/commercial legal support including employment and operational issues, acquisitions, financings, regulatory and other key matters that impact Toromont’s many lines of business.
- Review, negotiate and draft a substantial amount of commercial contracts, including procurement, supply, services, real estate, sales and vendor agreements.
- Coordinate and assist in due diligence processes, public company filings, and claims management support and resolution.
- Strategically identify key legal and business risks while providing pragmatic solutions and efficient, invaluable legal advice to the business.
