The University of Maryland Department of Radiation Oncology is offering a 1-year clinical fellowship as a unique educational opportunity for the acquisition of practical expertise in advanced radiation modalities. This is a non-ACGME fellowship, and the candidate selected will be given a faculty appointment as an Instructor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The fellowship is designed to develop professional competence in the care of patients undergoing radiation therapy, with a special focus on enhancing technical skills in advanced radiation modalities. These include proton treatment at our state-of-the-art Maryland Proton Treatment Center (MPTC), SRS, SBRT, brachytherapy (prostate and Gyn), hyperthermia, and GammaPod™ stereotactic radiation therapy system for early-stage breast cancer.
