About the Role: 

BestStart Waiuku has proudly supported tamariki and their whānau since 2008, offering an inclusive, engaging environment where children are empowered to learn, grow, and thrive. Our local curriculum celebrates each child’s unique journey, symbolised by the feather, representing growth and development as they build their own kete of knowledge and belonging.

Our preschool room fosters strong connections to people, place, and learning, with regular visits to Sandspit School and Waiuku Library supporting confident transitions to school. With a rich outdoor environment and values grounded in manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, ako, whanaungatanga, and kotahitanga, we create meaningful learning experiences that nurture curiosity, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging.
