Descrição da vaga
To work in the Ema Group at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS).
The EMA beamline (Extreme Conditions Methods of Analysis) is dedicated to the study of materials under extreme conditions of pressure, temperature, and magnetic field, enabling access to regions of phase diagrams that are inaccessible through conventional methods. The beamline combines high-brightness X-ray beams with advanced focusing optics, enabling diffraction, spectroscopy, and coherent imaging experiments with high spatial resolution.
EMA integrates multiple X-ray techniques — including diffraction (XRD), absorption spectroscopy (XAS), and coherent imaging (ptychography and CDI) — combined with extreme environments such as pressures of hundreds of GPa, temperatures of thousands of Kelvin, and intense magnetic fields. The beamline supports in situ structural and electronic studies, with strong connection with materials science, geosciences, and condensed matter ...
