About Quality Council of India
The Quality Council of India (QCI) is India's national accreditation body, established in 1996 jointly by the Government of India and the country's premier industry associations, namely the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
QCI creates a mechanism for independent third-party assessments of products, services, and processes, coordinating its activities through its constituent boards and divisions. Boards include the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), and the National Board for Quality Promotion (NBQP).
