Claims Manager is accountable for the management of clinical negligence claims by reference to the Clinical Indemnity Scheme.
The principal accountabilities associated with the role will include:
Responsible for management of assigned portfolio of clinical claims against the State under the Clinical Indemnity Scheme.Responsible for investigation and evaluation of each claim assigned and for seeking guidance from senior colleagues on direction as appropriate.Proposes approach for investigation and resolution of case and will implement subject to approval.Liaises with solicitors and other third parties to seek guidance on most appropriate approach to claim.Selects solicitors, barristers and experts for case and will attend meetings with the relevant State authority.Responsible for ensuring timely processing of all claims, ensuring documentation is accurate.Responsible for assisting health authorities, hospitals ...
