We are currently looking for an Engineering candidate for the Electrical Design of custom machinery. This expert will possess the work knowledge and experience to complete electrical designs in a fast-paced environment following company standards.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs that meet the needs defined in the scope of work while working within a defined schedule and budget.

Calculate electrical sizing of control devices including cables, fuses, brake resistors and transformers

Proven knowledge of safety control design including safety relays, controllers, light curtains, safety scanners and zoning. Work closely with the team to develop Safety Risk assessments

Strong knowledge of motion control systems with Servos and VFD’s

Work directly with electrical inspectors to ensure that electrical designs meet the requirements to pass inspection (panels typically certified to CSA/UL & system certified to PSR)
