Health Shared Services has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor role in our Alberta Cancer Registry (ACR) team. The ACR is a population based registry that records and maintains data on all new cancer cases and cancer deaths occurring in the province and is mandated by the Provincial Health Agencies Act. Accurate and reliable cancer data is essential for cancer surveillance and research as well as planning and evaluating cancer care programs to improve patient care. The registry is a crucial starting point for many data requests by epidemiologists, statisticians, researchers, and healthcare providers. The Supervisor will be required to apply comprehensive knowledge of the health system, cancer registration and operational areas to ensure high quality data for accuracy, validity, completeness and timely reporting vital to supporting decision making of stakeholders.
