Title: Research Associate

Department: Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Faculty of Applied Science, University of British Columbia.

Location: Vancouver campus (Point Grey).

Start date: June 26, 2026.

Salary: $105,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in microelectronics, optical and wireless communication.
• Model electronics and photonics components.
• Design and simulate integrated circuits.
• Perform measurements in the lab.
• Mentor students in modeling, simulation, tapeouts and measurement ensuring reliable results after chip fabrication.
• Prepare documentation and publications in top-tier venues.
• Help with grant funding proposals and reports.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• At least three years of postdoctoral training in a relevant discipline.
