Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct research on chronic metabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, ageing, cardiovascular diseases, Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH), neurodegenerative disorders, and biostatisticsDiscover and characterize novel humoral factors and biomarkers involved in the regulation of metabolic homeostasisUtilize advanced quantitative proteomics platforms such as Olink and Simoa technology to identify and validate disease-specific biomarkers in clinical samplesLead research projects investigating adipose tissue heterogeneity and the secretory factors involved in the conversion of white adipocytes to brown adipocytesPerform other duties as assigned.
