Job Description
Care of chronic and acute hemodialysis patients. Involves patient teaching. Initiation and discontinuation of dialysis, preparation of dialysis, preparation of dialysis machines, accessing venous accesses and central lines, monitoring of dialysis treatments, troubleshooting, acute dialysis in ICU, primary nursing follow-up of chronic patients. Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hirePreference will be given to those individuals possessing Cneph CertificationMust have experience with acute hemodialysisMust be good with equipment, and possess basic computer skillsStrong patient assessment skills and patient education skillsMust be able to work under pressureMust enjoy working with chronic pati...
