Summary The Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the Emergency/Urgent Care Unit, aligned under Patient Care Services. Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of recent ER experience. Responsibilities The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care. They delegate and supervise basic nursing care of licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel. Provides urgent and emergent care to patients with acute and/or chronic medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions. Nursing care ranges from basic nursing care to stabilization, resuscitation, and life-support measures.
