This front-line Public Health Inspector I - Safe Healthy Environments position covers a portion of the safe built program for the City of Medicine Hat and generalist program areas for surrounding municipalities. These generalist functional areas include food, safe built, emergency preparedness, drinking water, recreational water, nuisance and communicable disease control. Each inspector is responsible for protecting all Albertans, including disadvantaged populations by conducting a variety of inspections in all EPH program areas.

As a Public Health Inspector I and appointed Executive Officer under the authority of the Public Health Act, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive environmental public health program within an assigned geographical area.
