Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the Underground Project Engineer is responsible for underground construction projects from design, print preparation, cost estimating and work supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the designs for UG construction projects and present them to stakeholders for approval;
- Prepare the detailed technical drawings for construction projects;
- Order and track the material required for construction projects;
- Present construction projects to UG personnel, with additional focus on construction methodology and safe production;
- Coordinate projects that require multiple departments by ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and involved;
- Project follow up: site visits, quality control, cost control and adherence to plan;
- Site inspections for future projects, establishing work necessary before mobilization;
