The Project Cost Controller works in close collaboration with all members of the team to keep the budget information as accurate and updated as possible. The individual will closely work with the project control team to make sure forecast are followed properly. Presentations will need to be prepared monthly to inform the upper management of the current cost situation. To prepare for these presentations, the project Cost Controller will meet with the responsible of every department to get their input and cues on any potential unbudgeted cost.
The individual could be asked to visit the different work sites to get a better understanding of the project and its progress. The Cost Controller will need to understand the project in depth, analyze the data provided to then determine the project’s financial health.
