Geospatial technologies and data are fundamental to the development and planning of landscapes that are both socially and environmentally sustainable. Landscapes refer to interconnected natural (both terrestrial and aquatic areas) and built environments in which people live, work, interact, and generate goods and resources and which simultaneously sustain other forms of life.
