Pipeline SCADA Systems Engineer

Purpose: Specialist consulting and technical leadership in Pipeline SCADA systems for onshore oil, gas and energy infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid position based in Canada (Calgary or Edmonton preferred). Full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Pipeline SCADA subject matter expert in consulting, studies and project delivery assignments.
• Conduct front‑end consulting support, including scope definition, option evaluation, system philosophies and asset automation strategies.
• Lead SCADA system architecture development for pipelines, including RTUs, PLCs, communications networks, SCADA host platforms and integration with field instrumentation.
• Develop and review key deliverables: Control and SCADA philosophies, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Control narratives and Cause & Effect matrices, I/O databases and system architecture diagrams, Alarm management and cybersecurity concepts.
