Job Title: Primary Care Physician

Work Site: Cool Aid Community Health Centre - 713 Johnson St, Victoria, BC

Status: Permanent 1 FTE

Start Date: To be mutually agreed upon

Compensation Type: Alternative Payment Program

Join an interdisciplinary healthcare team in downtown Victoria, BC, and work between 2-5 days a week with no overhead costs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose acute and chronic disease/illness and provide treatment and follow-up.
• Prescribe and refill medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Manage chronic diseases and arrange referrals to specialists as needed.
• Provide client-centered primary health care services to individuals and communities with barriers to access, using harm reduction and culturally competent, trauma-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with clients living in poverty, with chronic mental illness and/or substance use issues.
