Overview

As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) with ALTA Paramedic Health, you will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured patients from scenes and between facilities, and operate ambulances or other transportation modes. You may administer minor medications, use basic life support airway adjuncts, and provide semi‑automated defibrillation. You may also lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.

Ambulances and transport vehicles, including non‑emergent transport units, must be properly stocked and equipped in accordance with APH standards. The PCP role requires work in demanding environments, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, moving traffic, and industrial and agricultural equipment.
