Overview
This position is located in Inuvik, NT. Reporting to the Manager, Transmission & Distribution, the Powerline Technician is a key member of the Transmission and Distribution team that performs Journeyperson level work in the construction and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution systems, including substations underground and streetlight systems.
Responsibilities
Always work safely, adhere to all aspects of the NTPC Health & Safety and Environmental programs, comply with all rules & regulations, and continually practice health & safety while performing any duties. Restores transmission and distribution systems when there is a power disturbance, failure, or storm damage by locating the source of the problem, replacing and /or repairing defective power lines and accessories.
