Overview
The Power Engineer supports the safe and effective operation of the University of Victoria’s central heating plant and mechanical systems across campus. Reporting to the Chief Utilities Engineer and Assistant Chief Utilities Engineer, this role is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and energy systems in accordance with Technical Safety BC regulations and institutional standards. Qualifications
4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (minimum), with the ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical systems, support plant operations, and contribute to preventative maintenance programs. This position may also assist with emergent situations across the university, including outside of the physical plant, where skills and safety permit.
