Position: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Ethics in Embodied AI) – Department of Informatics, University of Oslo.

Start Date: 4 January 2027 (earliest start possible). Duration: 3 years with possible 1-year extension depending on qualifications and departmental needs. The fellowship is limited to one per candidate at UiO.

Location: Department of Informatics, Blindern, Oslo.

Project Overview

This role is part of The Norwegian Centre for Embodied AI (NCEI), which focuses on how intelligence emerges from the interaction between bodies, computation, and environments in robots of various modalities. The postdoc will concentrate on Ethics in Embodied AI, addressing safety, security, accountability, privacy, social and environmental impacts, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.
