**JOB TITLE:** Postdoctoral Fellow in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute, Mount Sinai, NY

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The lab of Dr. Romina Bevacqua, an early-career Principal Investigator in the Diabetes,Obesity and Metabolism Institute, is seeking a curious, motivated, Postdoctoral Fellow interested in performingtransformative research on human diabetes and pancreatic islet biology. The broader significance of the work in Bevacqua Lab is that diabetes affects over 400 million people worldwide and advancing our understanding of adult human islet functionality, will lead to development of novel approaches for the treatment of diabetic patients. Morespecifically, Bevacqua Lab is interested in studying: 1) the regulatory mechanisms driving human islet maturation: 2)the genetic basis for their dysregulation in disease: and, 3) the application of these findings towards β-cellregeneration and replacement therapies.
