The Pharmacy Department at the Juravinski Cancer Centre effectively manages drug therapy for positive patient outcomes and is committed to oncology pharmaceutical care. Patient focused health care empowers Pharmacist participation in both retail and general oncology settings. Working toward integration with the primary care teams, this allows for maximization of the Pharmacists clinical role and provides enhanced Pharmacy Technician roles in drug distribution.

The Clinical Pharmacist is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing pharmaceutical care to patients in the JCC Cancer Programs. The Pharmacist reviews and assesses medication orders and works with the patient and healthcare team directly to optimize medication use, avoid medication-related problems and achieve desired patient outcomes.
