Part-time Academic

Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology requires a part-time professor to teach  CHEM 1202 – Organic Chemistry Labs .

This is a one semester course designed to introduce the student to the basic concepts of organic chemistry. This course is designed to familiarize the student with organic chemical structures, functional groups, nomenclature and basic physical properties and reactions of organic compounds. The laboratory portion is designed to provide the student with exposure to techniques used in handling, isolation and purification of organic compounds in a safe manner, in addition to introducing students to technical organic glassware.
