Overview
The Onboarding and Engagement Partner provides local HR expertise to a District. This includes full cycle employee onboarding, retention and off-boarding. This individual also supports management with various HR functions as required.
Responsibilities
- Process new hire paperwork including capturing results for criminal background checks and vulnerable sector results.
- Coordinate and conduct general onboarding for new hires on their first day of employment.
- Administer payroll and benefit paperwork for new and existing employees.
- Abide by Human Resources policies according to union collective agreements, company policies and provincial and federal legislation including Employment Standards Act.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all employee related inquiries.
- Research, identify and analyze specific employee relations concerns under direction of management.
