A Mental Health Tech assists in the direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team. Mental Health Tech provide assistance with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patient's level of growth. Accompanies and actively supervises patients in activities of daily living (ADLs), appointments, and recreational activities that occur both on and off the living unit. Actively assists therapists and teachers with patients to provide therapeutic and/or educational activities. Documents patient behaviors, condition, and progress on a daily basis by recording data in the prescribed format.
