Summary of responsibilities

As a specialist in social work, the incumbent will provide comprehensive care to sexually assaulted persons and victims of intimate partner violence and embody a culture of caregiver inclusion in the patient’s plan of care.

Requirements of the job

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience and demonstrated expertise in trauma, dissociation and the symptomatology related to sexual assault and intimate partner violence or relative experience
• Demonstrated case management experience
• Valid driver’s license and access to own transportation
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop a community network
• Ability to work independently
