The Engineering Manager is responsible for planning and managing all resources related to the plant’s engineering department. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all production means, such as work methods, measuring devices, tools, and machinery, are appropriate and effective. They must also ensure that the workforce is properly trained to produce and deliver products according to customer specifications.
Additionally, this role oversees the effective management of production flows in coordination with operations areas (including layout optimization) and leads the launch of new products. The Engineering Manager is also responsible for maintaining the plant’s facilities and driving continuous improvement initiatives through the 3Q6S management philosophy and system.
