Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgeon for a locum position in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiac Surgery, with clinical and academic interests, the position has the potential to transition to a permanent full‑time appointment. The successful candidate must hold certification in Cardiac Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful candidate will join three other Cardio‑Thoracic Surgeons as part of a team providing comprehensive cardiac surgical care to the southern half of Saskatchewan. Responsibilities include the clinical care of inpatients and outpatients, as well as undergraduate teaching and the training of postgraduate trainees. Call coverage is a mandatory aspect of this position.
