Boarding Team – Live In Dorm Parent

Brookes Westshore seeks a boarding team member to ensure a safe and stable environment for boarders, providing support and liaising with students, staff, parents, and agents.

Responsibilities

• Implement orientation program for new boarders.
• Provide weekly one‑to‑one contact to ensure emotional and academic stability.
• Build rapport and maintain open communication with residents.
• Manage students’ health, social well‑being, behavior, and emotional support.
• Supervise curfews, wake‑up procedures, lock‑up, and lights‑out protocols.
• Be available overnight for emergencies.
• Advocate student interests and liaise with parents, agents, and teachers.
• Act as mentor, supervisor, and positive role model.
• Listen to students experiencing difficulties.
• Teach respect for self, others, and community.
