Position Overview
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s student body as a Lecturer of Spanish beginning in the academic year.
Qualifications
PhD in Spanish Linguistics or a closely related field (e.g., PhD in applied linguistics with 18 hours of Spanish language proficiency, PhD in Hispanic languages and linguistics, etc.)— regardless, must have 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
PhD in Peninsular Literature or a closely related field.
Has at least one publication in the last five years.
Evidences 18 hours in Spanish, 18 hours in Linguistics, or 18 hours in Peninsular Literature.
Preferred: Holds a PhD and one publication in the last five years in Linguistics or Peninsular Literature.
