The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene within a busy corporate catering environment. This position supports chefs and catering staff by ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently, equipment is clean and ready for use, and all food preparation areas are maintained to company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and storage rooms.
- Wash and sanitise all crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Clean food preparation stations and assist with endofday deep cleaning routines.
- Operate and maintain commercial dishwashers safely and efficiently.
Equipment & Stock
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.
