Overview

Your Opportunity: Reporting to the Manager, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), the Infection Control Professional (ICP) is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the highest standards of IPC practices to ensure patient safety across Covenant Health and prevent healthcare associated infections. The ICP serves as a role model to promote the goals of the IPC program within the larger context of Covenant Health's mission, vision, and values. It is expected that the ICP will complete additional formal training in IPC within the first year of practice. It is also expected that the ICP obtain and maintain requirements for Certification in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC) following 2 years of practice. Please note: Must be able to travel between various sites/locations; and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
