Join a vital role as In-House Legal Counsel, reporting to the Legal Services Manager. You'll represent the Agency while prioritizing Indigenous children's rights and well-being.
This position focuses on understanding legislation such as the CYFSA and offers alternative legal solutions to support families. With a minimum of two to three years in litigation and Family Law, particularly related to Child Welfare, you’ll contribute to preserving relationships and promoting healing in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent the Agency in Family Law and related matters
• Provide legal advice respecting Indigenous children and families
• Promote alternative dispute resolution outside court processes
• Support solutions that enhance cultural identity and healing
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Child Welfare settings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Juris Doctor with LL.B.
