**Summary**

**SUMMARY** :The Hospitalist is responsible for the expert provision of safe, efficient, patient-centered, and cost-effective care within the Hospital. Hospitalist shall provide the very best high quality, care to the patients assigned to the service through the Emergency Department and other approved referral sources. The role of the hospitalist is to provide inpatient care predominantly in settings in the acute care and intensive care units and overall manage and coordinate patient care throughout treatment while patients are hospitalized.
