Position Details
Key Responsibilities
Carefor the captive grizzly bear at GBR through the provision of food, water,
hygiene, psychological enrichment, and habitat improvement.Assist
the GBR Experience
Supervisor and GBR Animal Welfare Coordinator with the design,
development, and maintenance of the wildlife habitat, refuge facilities, and
interpretive programs.Ensure
that all applicable wildlife protocols, procedures, and regulations are
followed.Maintain
database of bear behavior, habitat statistics, procedural matters, and other
factors to ensure that it is accessible for GBR staff, KHMR management, and
provincial officials.Control
other wildlife near GBR that could affect the captive bear's behavior and/or
refuge operations.Maintain
professional knowledge as appropriate by fostering relationships with other
