This opportunity focuses on providing geriatric inpatient management in a dynamic acute care setting. You will be part of a dedicated psychiatry team, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. In addition, there are avenues for teaching medical students through UBC’s Southern Medical Program and potential leadership development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage geriatric inpatient care in a 35 bed psychiatric unit
• Provide psychiatric consults for medical/surgical and emergency departments
• Participate in community outreach for seniors’ mental health
• Engage in teaching opportunities for medical trainees
• Contribute to the general on-call schedule
Requirements:
• CPSBC Provisional License required
• Membership with CMPA mandatory
