Job Summary
The Great Bear Geotechnical Lead is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all geotechnical work conducted on site.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate closely with responsible onsite personnel and project stakeholders.
- Perform all work safely and in accordance with Kinross standards and site‑specific safety procedures (including drilling and excavation activities).
- Oversee drilling, sampling, and in‑situ testing programs (e.g., SPT, CPT, vane shear, density testing).
- Plan, schedule, and supervise field investigations including boreholes, test pits, and geophysical surveys.
- Coordinate field activities with drillers, contractors, surveyors, operations, health and safety, permitting, geology, and environmental teams.
