Position Details
Elevate community safety as an Emergency Planning and Operations Specialist with the Comox Valley Regional District. This full-time position focuses on emergency management and training initiatives.
As part of the Comox Valley Emergency Management team, you will be pivotal in coordinating emergency planning, training, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate is experienced in public safety, with a strong commitment to equitable and effective community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of emergency plans and procedures
• Support EOC activation, training, and leadership
• Coordinate resources for regional interoperability
• Direct and mentor staff, contractors, and volunteers
• Facilitate regional emergency planning committees
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in emergency management
