Join North Bay Regional Health Centre as a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant. Collaborate with physicians to assess and treat diverse patient populations in the emergency department.
This position reports to both the Manager of Medical Affairs and the Chief & Medical Director. With no overnight shifts or on-call coverage, enjoy a rotational schedule including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Key skills include patient assessment, emergency care procedures, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage patients under supervising physician
• Perform admissions and order entry in ED EMR module
• Liaise with mental health care providers for documentation
• Support discharge planning with nurses and allied health
• Improve ED quality and workflow through participation
Requirements:
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Certification and registration with relevant bodies
