OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Fitter (FTR) to join our bulk carrier fleet trading worldwide. Work with an international crew and help keep our vessel and equipment in safe and good working condition.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Carry out steel repairs on deck, hull, pipes, and structures
- Assist with welding, cutting, and fabrication jobs as instructed
- Maintain and repair shipboard machinery and fittings
- Support engine and deck teams during maintenance and dry-docking
- Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areas
- **Requirements**:
- Previous seagoing experience as Fitter, preferably on bulk carriers
- Valid seafarer documents and certificates as per STCW
- Good welding and cutting skills (arc, gas, basic fabrication)
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed crew
