Position Summary

The family nurse practitioner (FNP) or physician assistant (PA) is responsible for direct patient care and other administrative duties as designated by the dean or his/her designee. The faculty-appointed medical director provides the overall direction for all patient care activities. FNP or PA duties include, but are not limited to, providing medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide quality medical care, serving as an educational preceptor for the clinical staff, responding to questions/consultations of the staff, following medical protocols, providing handouts and clinical standards, and assisting in expanding the competencies of the clinical staff. Required Qualifications Graduate degree from of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program.
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certified for FNP’s.
