Reporting to the Zone Manager, Emergency Preparedness, the Emergency Preparedness Consultant coordinates activities within the designated zone related to emergency planning and response. The Consultant also coordinates education & training, emergency exercising, emergency planning, response (including support of an Incident Management Team) and continuity planning. The Consultant participates in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of a comprehensive and provincially integrated emergency preparedness program and collaborates with the Emerging and Re-Emerging Infections Network (ERIN) on outbreak and pandemic planning. The role is aimed at achieving the best outcomes in healthcare and service delivery, safe care, and continuous improvement to meet or exceed accreditation and legislative requirements.
