Job Summary

Under the direction of the Charge Electrician, Facilities, performs electrical installations, maintenance and repairs on related buildings, systems, and equipment in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, BC Fire Code and BC Building Code. Maintains electrical inventory, recommends system and equipment upgrades and replacements, and performs other related duties as required to ensure the campus remains operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Organizational Status

Reports to the Charge Electrician. Maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external groups, including UBC faculties, staff and administrative departments, other institutions, external agencies, advisory committees, professional associations and community organizations.
