The School District of Clayton is seeking Early Childhood Educators to work at the District's Family Center. The position requires working with children aged 15 months to five years. The Early Childhood Education program is a developmentally appropriate curriculum incorporating principles of constructivist education, project work, and inspirations from the EC programs of Reggio Emilia.
The successful candidate :
Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
Conducts ongoing parent-teacher contacts and communications, including parent-teacher dialogues.
Regularly assesses student progress, providing students and parents with feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction, as needed.
Participates in IEP conferences, as necessary.
Teaches the district early childhood curriculum as outlined in the curriculum binder.
