Audition Repertoire

1st movement with cadenza from either of the following works:

• Dittersdorf: Double Bass Concerto Nr2
• Vanhal: Double Bass Concerto 1st and 2nd movements
• Bottesini: Double Bass Concerto Nr2
• Koussevitzky: Double Bass Concerto

Audition and Application Period

The auditions will be held at the Helsinki Music Centre on 22 and 23October2026 from 9.00 onwards. The deadline for applications is 23.59Finnish time on 30August2026.

Preliminary Selection

Applicants will be selected for audition on the basis of their application documents and video recording. Applications must be accompanied by a CV including all relevant information about the applicant’s work experience. Please provide detailed information of each orchestra, vacancy, type and duration of the employment as well as your education and other relevant information.
