Doctoral Researcher – MSCA Cofund DP‑FOBI Doctoral Programme, Linguistics / Language Studies

Position duration: 4 years (fixed term) based at the Joensuu campus of the University of Eastern Finland. Expected start no later than 1 April 2027. Application deadline: 10 August 2026.

Research theme: Environmental Discourses and the Spread of Multilingual (Dis)information in Social Networks. The project focuses on how climate‑related discourses circulate in digital social networks and how multilingual perspectives shape the diffusion of (dis)information across linguistic communities. The candidate will work with large‑scale social‑media datasets (≈40 billion words) to trace the emergence, evolution, and circulation of concepts in online communities.
